Celtic American
My heritage is mostly Irish. The Irish, the Scots, Cornish, Welsh, Manx, and Bretons all have Celtic heritage with many similarities - certainly in spirit! My great-great grandfather Cornelius J. Lynch hailed from Derry County. My great grandfather Gregory Doyle was a County Carlow native. Among my ancestral names are Finnegans, Lalors, McKeevers, and O'Connells. All were part of the great Irish diaspora that arrived as huddled masses to escape the Great Hunger of the late 1840s. I continue to celebrate my Irish heritage and honor the other parts of my heritage from my paternal grandmother who was of English and German heritage. My great great grandfather John Fields was a Civil War veteran.

My dog welcomes friends arriving for stew and a pint or two to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. Failte, pronounced "fall-cha," means "welcome" in Irish Gaelic.
