U.S. Route 101 hugs the Pacific coastline, each curve revealing another breathtaking view. Most of these photos were taken in the vicinity of Cannon Beach on the north end of Oregon.

Ecola State Park got its name from the Chinook Indian word for "whale." Gray whales pass here on their twice yearly migration.
